Commemorative posters from the Didot typography, designed in Paris back in 1789 by Firmin Didot.
This typeface of great contrasts will be the representative of the fashion world since it’ll be adopted by the greatest magazines in this field in the 50’s decade: Vogue, Bazaar…
It is no coincidence that Didot was designed almost 200 years earlier at the capital of fashion. It was the premonition of what was yet to come.
Around this concept, the posters represented the Eiffel Tower, the future icon of the city along with the fashion industry.
They are entirely typographic and they use black and white and high size contrasts as a reference to the most characteristic trait of this font: it’s contrasts.
